Mon Naturals is a Welsh family business with a story that began long before our first product reached the shelves.
At the heart of our journey is ELIAWEN™, a traditional Welsh balm whose origins lie in a treasured family recipe passed down through generations.
Our founder, Ianto Morgan-Jones, was inspired by the knowledge and traditions handed down by his late father, and by the natural heritage of Llanfaethlu on the Isle of Anglesey.
What began as a family tradition grew into a determination to preserve that heritage, explore its potential and share it with others.
Where Tradition Meets Research
We believe that traditional knowledge and modern scientific investigation can work alongside one another.
With support through a Welsh Government SMART Partnership, Mon Naturals collaborated with Bangor University to investigate and develop ELIAWEN™.
This important chapter helped us take a traditional family product towards commercial production while maintaining our connection to its Welsh origins.
In 2018, ELIAWEN™ was launched at the National Eisteddfod of Wales — a proud milestone in our journey.
Growing Naturally
Our journey continued with the development of ELIENAID™, our plant-based skincare range, inspired by the same commitment to natural ingredients and thoughtful product development.
Today, ELIAWEN™ and ELIENAID™ represent two parts of the Mon Naturals story: respect for the traditions that shaped us and a desire to keep developing for the future.
